REBT AND RESEARCH

There is considerable evidence to demonstrate the efficacy and effectiveness of REBT in a wide range of psychological problems. REBT has been subjected to research, showing excellent results with many diagnostic and outcome measures [Leichsenring, Hiller, Weissberg & Leibing 2006}.
Large scale meta-analysis summarising REBT's clinical trials have also shown that REBT is effective for a spectrum of disorders both in adults and children. [Engels et. al., 1993] {Gonzales et al;, 2004].  "REBT is not only useful for clinical populations but also for an educational system with implications for non-clinical and subclinical populates (eg. depression, anxiety, lack of assertiveness, lack of confidence) who have an interest in self-help and personal development" Over 300 studies were involved.
